Here are some Bible verses for fall. I don’t know how you are doing right now, maybe you had a great summer, lots of time enjoying the sun and the warm weather. Maybe you had the chance to take some time of and rest. Or maybe you, just like me, have been very busy with life. These last few months have been very busy for me. So this year I really feel like I would like to do exactly like the nature is doing. Slow down and pause for the winter. I am really inviting in the earlier sunsets and is trying to make that allow myself to slow down in the evenings. Busy Hands Slow Down The Brain During busy seasons, even when we try to slow down, it can be hard to do so. Even if we make an active choice to slow down and not do much it can be really hard to stop the never-ending to do list in our head. During times like that, I have to keep my hands busy to calm down my head. One way of doing that is through doing something creative. Knitting is one of the ways I enjoy being creative especially as the weather is getting colder. If you need some knitting inspiration, you can follow this link: https://underbartskapad.com/category/diy-en-en/knitting-patterns-en-en/ Another way to be creative is through coloring. Here is a link you can follow to see the free printable coloring pages for fall that we have published on this website: https://underbartskapad.com/category/free-printable-coloring-pages/fall-coloring-pages/ “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”Ecclesiastes 3:1 Bible Verses For Fall “Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains.”Psalm 65:12-13 A couple of years ago we published a blog post with these Bible verses, if you want to read that blog post, here is a link you can follow: https://underbartskapad.com/?s=bible+verses+about+autumn In that blog post, you can read more thoughts around these Bible verses. “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”Galatians 6:9 “As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and nightwill never cease.”Genesis 8:22 Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.2 Corinthians 9:10 We truly hope you will have a blessed fall! We hope you will find time to enjoy the beautiful nature and that you, if you are coming out of a busy season, will find ways to slow down. We send you the warmest blessings! Hope to see you again soon!

Here are some Bible verses for overwhelming times to help staying focused on what is most important. We have all been there. In moments that feel too much, there is too much on our to-do list, too much craziness around us, too many emotions to handle both in ourselves and the people around us. Overwhelm, according to Oxford Languages, is to drown beneath a huge mass of something or to have a strong emotional effect on. I think I wasn’t really aware of overwhelm before I became a mom. Even if I had had moments that were overwhelming, those moments came and went by without me really noticing them. Life as a mom, though, has had me in seasons when the sense of overwhelm has stayed for a while. Some seasons of motherhood are hard, and some are easier. But some of the harder seasons have lasted for a few months, and when you are in the thick of it and you don’t really see the end of it, it can be hard to get rid of the feeling of being so overwhelmed by that huge mass of something that you feel you are under. I guess you found this blog post because you can relate, and that you have experienced seasons that have been overwhelming and that didn’t seem to have an end. If you are in a season like that now, I hope you will find comfort and strength in the following Bible verses that have helped me in overwhelming times. Bible Verses for Overwhelming Times I think the Bible passage that has stayed with me the longest when it comes to keeping my focus on the right thing when our surroundings are overwhelming is the verses from Matthew chapter 14 when Jesus walks on the water. “But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”“Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”“Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water, and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”Immediately, Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.””Matthew 14:27-33 Peter wants to meet Jesus on the water, and Jesus invites Peter out of the boat. Peter gets out of the boat and starts to walk toward Jesus. But as soon as his focus shifts from Jesus to his surroundings, he starts to sink. This is such a reminder of how life works. As soon as the storm gets our attention and we forget who is walking with us, we start sinking. “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.”Psalm 46:1-3 God truly can be our refuge and our strength. He is an ever-present help in trouble. But only if we choose to keep our eyes on him and keep trusting in his power, goodness, and faithfulness even when we don’t understand why things are unfolding the way they are. Keep Communicating With Our Creator “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”Philippians 4:6-7 In every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. and… The peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. If we stay in communication with God, even when life is hard, we have access to the peace that transcends all understanding. When life doesn’t look like we thought it would, it can be easy to get bitter. And when we get bitter, we might be tempted to not seek God. If God is good and almighty, why wouldn’t he take the pain from us? God Will Always Stay The Same God’s goodness and faithfulness will never change. So if we choose to keep our focus on who God is, it prevents us from bitterness. It’s easy to have peace when life is easy, but it is the hard times that make our roots grow deep when we choose to trust that God is the one he says he is. So, every time we choose to stay in communication with God, we protect our hearts from being deceived. The peace of God will guard our hearts and minds. Soo.. I would say one of the things I am most aware of when life gets hard is to make sure I keep praying and talking with God. And we get to do so in full honesty. We don’t need to pretend to be happy if we are not. God wants our full honesty. One More Bible Verse For Overwhelming Times “give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”1 Thessalonians 5:18 This verse from 1 Thessalonians chapter 5, reminds me of the fact that we get to give thanks IN all circumstances, not FOR all circumstances. We don’t need to be grateful FOR every hardship, but IN hard times, we get to keep thanking God for everything that he is blessing us with. So, those are some of the Bible verses that have helped me in overwhelming times. If you are in such a season right now, remember that you are not alone. There is a loving father who wants to walk with you through this season. Your father sees you and loves you so much! And he knows your pain; he died on the cross so that you could be saved.

“But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”
“Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”
“Come,” he said.
Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water, and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”
Immediately, Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”
And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.””
Matthew 14:27-33

Peter wants to meet Jesus on the water, and Jesus invites Peter out of the boat. Peter gets out of the boat and starts to walk toward Jesus. But as soon as his focus shifts from Jesus to his surroundings, he starts to sink.

This is such a reminder of how life works. As soon as the storm gets our attention and we forget who is walking with us, we start sinking.

“God is our refuge and strength,
    an ever-present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake with their surging.”
Psalm 46:1-3

God truly can be our refuge and our strength. He is an ever-present help in trouble. But only if we choose to keep our eyes on him and keep trusting in his power, goodness, and faithfulness even when we don’t understand why things are unfolding the way they are.

Keep Communicating With Our Creator

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:6-7

In every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

and… The peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

God Will Always Stay The Same

God’s goodness and faithfulness will never change.

One More Bible Verse For Overwhelming Times

“give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
1 Thessalonians 5:18

This verse from 1 Thessalonians chapter 5, reminds me of the fact that we get to give thanks IN all circumstances, not FOR all circumstances.

In this blog post, you can find some free printable Salt and Light coloring pages further down. ““You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.”Matthes 5:13-14 Two things that Jesus tells us that we are when we follow him is salt and light. Salt and light are two things that affect their whole surrounding in a very positive way. When you add salt to food, it gives taste to the whole dish, it spreads out, and when it has been added, it’s impossible to take away. When you enter a dark room and you turn on the lights, it changes the way you see the whole room. Things you couldn’t see before are now noticeable. When we follow Jesus, we get to bring the light that He is into the places we go. Jesus Is The Light Of The World “When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.””John 8:12 John Chapter 8 verse 12 tells us that when we follow Jesus, we will never walk in darkness but have the light of life. So when we follow Jesus, we get to live life not in darkness but in light. The light that Jesus gives us gets to transform us, and that transformation will be visible to others. Who Are We Called To Be? One of the blog posts on our website that has increased in popularity over the last few months is a blog post about what the Bible says about dreams and goals. Here is a link to that blog post: https://underbartskapad.com/bible-verses-about-dreams-and-goals/. I think most of us, at some point, think about who we were made to be and for what reason we are here on this earth. When Jesus was on this earth, he did talk about two things that we are called to be and that is that we are called to be salt and light. As mentioned earlier, he also said that he is the light of the world. I think it is so cool to remember that we get to be light because of who lives in us. So much of who we are called to be and what we are called to do is rooted in who Jesus is and what he did for us. Jesus Gives Us Rest “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”Matthew 11:28-30 It is so easy to fall into carrying things that we aren’t meant to carry. Sometimes when we talk about the future and what God is calling us to, we focus so much on the gifting that we have been given and focus on what we are skilled in doing. But it might be more important to remember who we belong to. So much of what we are called to do comes out of who God is instead of what we can do. When we choose to keep our eyes on Jesus and who he is, we get to be transformed by him and be a part of transforming our surroundings through the light that we have been given by him. Salt And Light Bible Verse Coloring Pages So we get to be salt and light because of who we belong to. It is not out of our own strength but through the transformation of our hearts that happens when we follow Jesus. Remembering that is not always easy, but it truly brings so much rest.

Salt And Light Bible Verse Coloring Pages

So we get to be salt and light because of who we belong to. It is not out of our own strength but through the transformation of our hearts that happens when we follow Jesus.

Remembering that is not always easy, but it truly brings so much rest.

Fear of failure is one of the things that can keep us from stepping into things that we want to pursue but that feel too big for us at the moment. Here are some thoughts about how to overcome fear of failure, and not letting fear dictate our lives. Over the years I have been blessed to walk alongside many wise people who really have helped me to analyze why I make the decisions I make. I think we sometimes don’t really reflect on why we make the decisions we make. Fear is one of these things that all of us experience but it’s triggered by different things for different people. For some of us, fear of failure can be a thing that keeps us from making decisions based on faith instead of fear. How To Overcome Fear Of Failure – An Example From The Bible One of the people from the Old Testament that was challenged to take on a big task was Moses. In Exodus Chapter 3 we can read about how God is calling Moses to go to Pharaoh to bring the Israelites out of Egypt. The Israelites that through Joseph had come to Egypt grew in number and in Exodus Chapter 2 we can read that the Israelites filled the land. Out of fear, the leaders in Egypt put the Israelites under oppression, forced them into labor and put slave masters in charge of them. God sees the oppression of his people and is concerned about their suffering. “The Lord said, “I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering.”Exodus 3:7 The cry of the Israelites was heard and God meets Moses in the burning bush and tells him to go to Pharaoh to bring his people out of Egypt. “And now the cry of the Israelites has reached me, and I have seen the way the Egyptians are oppressing them. So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt.””Exodus 3:9-10 So God calls Moses to lead the Israelites out of Egypt. I think we can all read this story from different perspectives and some of us may think, “Wow! What an honor to be the one that God asks to lead his people out of Egypt!” The Response Of Moses When God Calls Him But the response of Moses was not that excited. In verses 11 and 12 we can see that Moses wasn’t sure if he was the right man for the task. “But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?” And God said, “I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain.”Exodus 3:11-12 Moses’ response to God was doubtful. He asks God: “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?” Moses has this encounter with God at a time when he had fled from Egypt after killing an Egyptian, so part of his doubt surely came from that reason. We can also read that Moses didn’t see himself as eloquent. He saw himself as slow to speech and tongue. “Moses said to the Lord, “Pardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.””Exodus 4:10 God’s Response To Moses The way God responds to Moses is the way I think God also meets us in moments when we can feel doubtful about weather we really have what it takes for the task that is before us. God tells Moses that He will be there with him. As humans, we sometimes have the tendency to focus on our own capacity and limitations. But when God calls us we are brought to a partnership with him where he is our provider. So sometimes it’s obvious that we will be doubtful if we analyze our capability of completing the task that is handed to us by God only by looking at ourselves. But God makes it clear to Moses that He will be with them. If Moses is confident in who God is, that God is all-powerful and good, he will also be confident in that he together with God will be able to lead the Israelites out of Egypt. So when we are making life-decisions we get to have that same perspective. God wants to partner with us and be our provider in the tasks that he calls us to. What Is God Calling Us To? During the last moments that Jesus spent on this earth, he talked with his disciples and he told them to go out and make disciples of all nations. “Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.””Matthew 28:18-20 These verses are called the great commission and this is something that every one of us gets to be a part of. Jesus tells his disciples that they are to go and make disciples of all nations. He also tells them that he will be with them to the very end of age. Even before telling them to go out, Jesus says that they are to do so because all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to him. So we are not sent out because of our capability but through the power and authority that Jesus gives us. How To Overcome Fear Of Failure By Keeping Our Eyes On Jesus I think one of the most effective ways to not let fear of failure dictate our lives is to keep our focus on the power and authority that Jesus gives us instead of doing things in our own strength. Sometimes we try to carry things that aren’t meant for us to carry. Making Jesus Lord in our lives really makes us rest in a way that keeps fear from having power over our decision-making. Encouraging Bible Verses About Faith Over Fear “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”Psalm 56:3 The Psalmist in Psalm 56 tells it so honestly. “When I am afraid”, the word “when” tells us that the Psalmist did face times when he felt fear. We can’t expect that we won’t have moments when we feel afraid. We will face times that trigger fear, fear is a very natural part of life. But what we do in those times really affects the outcome. “I put my trust in you.” is the conclusion David makes and that is also where we can find courage and rest in times when fear creeps in.
Even before telling them to go out, Jesus says that they are to do so because all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to him. So we are not sent out because of our capability but through the power and authority that Jesus gives us.

How To Overcome Fear Of Failure By Keeping Our Eyes On Jesus

I think one of the most effective ways to not let fear of failure dictate our lives is to keep our focus on the power and authority that Jesus gives us instead of doing things in our own strength.

Sometimes we try to carry things that aren’t meant for us to carry. Making Jesus Lord in our lives really makes us rest in a way that keeps fear from having power over our decision-making.

Encouraging Bible Verses About Faith Over Fear

“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”
Psalm 56:3

The Psalmist in Psalm 56 tells it so honestly.

“Who do you say I am?” was one of the questions that Jesus asked his disciples. This is a question that really has the power to form our worldview. Our view of who Jesus is has the potential to change our lives. Easter is a time when we remember what God did for us. Who Jesus is, is a central part of the power in the Easter story. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”John 3:16 We can read in the Bible about how God sent his son to earth so that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. If we believe that Jesus is God and that he died for us, then what happened on the cross has the power to save us. “Who Do You Say I Am?” In chapter 8 of the gospel of Mark, we can read that the people who met Jesus and heard about him draw different conclusions about who Jesus was. “Jesus and his disciples went on to the villages around Caesarea Philippi. On the way he asked them, “Who do people say I am?” They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, one of the prophets.””Mark 8:27-28 Some said Jesus was John the Baptist, others said he was Elijah and others said one of the prophets. “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”Peter answered, “You are the Messiah.”Mark 8:29 In the next verse, we can read that Jesus asked his disciples who they thought he was. Peter answered, “You are the Messiah.” We can read the same thing in the gospel of Matthew. In the gospel of Matthew, we can read the response Jesus gave Peter: “Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.”Matthew 16:17-18 The revelation that Simon had, which made him confident that Jesus was the Messiah, had a huge impact on his life. Just the verse after Jesus called Simon blessed for declaring who Jesus truly was, Jesus also confirmed who Simon was. Simon got a new name, and Jesus called him by the name Peter and said that on this rock he would build his church. Simon Peter had a key role in the early church. Choosing To Believe In Jesus Gives Us A New Identity Giving our lives to Jesus and acknowledging him as our Lord and Savior has the power to transform our lives. “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”Romans 10:9 There is so much power in confession. Choosing to follow Jesus, can change the direction we have in our lives, it can transform the way we view ourselves and the people around us. And it is the only thing that can save us from our sins. “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”John 14:6 Who Do We Say Jesus Is In The Valleys? And what happens then when life gets hard? Is God still the same? “Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?””John 11:25-26 These words were spoken to Martha after her brother Lazarus had died. To everyone it seemed like Jesus came too late to this occasion. The words had come to Jesus earlier that Lazarus was sick and he stayed where he was a couple of days before he went to Judea where Lazarus and his sisters were. It would be understandable if the sisters were confused at that moment. Why didn’t Jesus come on time so that their brother didn’t have to die? When Jesus finally came, Lazarus was already dead. In this moment of mourning, Jesus asks Martha if she believes that he is the resurrection and the life. In the verse after Martha responds: “Yes, Lord,” she replied, “I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”John 11:27 Jesus stays the same no matter our circumstances. Martha chose to proclaim who Jesus was even in a time of grief. Jesus Will Be Our Rock If We Proclaim Who He Is In Every Season “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.””Psalm 91:1-2 Even if we go through many different seasons in our lives, God will always be the same. When we choose to proclaim who God truly is in every season, he will be our refuge and our fortress. The circumstances around us won’t shake our trust in who God is. A Blog Post With Bible Verses about Easter A couple of years ago, we posted a blog post with some encouraging Bible verses for Easter. If you liked this blog post and are interested in that, follow this link: https://underbartskapad.com/free-printable-cards-with-bible-verses-for-easter/ Here are a couple of Bible verses from that blog post. “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,”1 Peter 1:3 Through God’s great mercy he gave us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”Romans 5:8 Jesus dying for us has nothing to do with our deeds. We couldn’t deserve God’s love and mercy in any way. Only through God’s mercy for us we were saved! God wants to meet with you this Easter. God always has more for you. We get to spend all the days of our lives, growing in our relationship with him. So if any of the Bible verses in this blog post stood out to you, take some time to pray and ask God what he wants to show you about him this Easter. We hope that you will have a blessed Easter and hope to see you again soon. Many blessings from us at Wonderfully Made

Jesus dying for us has nothing to do with our deeds. We couldn’t deserve God’s love and mercy in any way. Only through God’s mercy for us we were saved!

Here are some thoughts on the verse “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet” that has been challenging me lately. “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”Psalm 119:105 This Bible verse from Psalm 119 has been on my mind quite a lot these last few months. A podcast I listened to last year pointed out to me that the lamp that was used during the time that this Psalm was written only gives light for a few steps ahead. I think that we often these days are so used to street lights that light up the whole path before us. It’s not that often that we walk on paths with a small light that only gives light for the next few steps. I have read Psalm 119 many times before. These last few months I have started to think about this verse about God’s word being a lamp for my life more as something that affects my everyday life. Just as lamps during the time this Psalm was written only gave light for the next few steps, we get to seek God for every next step we take. God wants to be involved in our everyday lives. God Cares About every Next Step We Take I know from my life that on the days that feel challenging or extra important, I tend to seek God but sometimes during the very “normal” days I don’t include God as much. Also, when I need to make a big decision I make sure to seek God for that but I think God also cares about small decisions we make. These last few months I have been reminded that God cares about every next step we take, even the steps we take that feel small to us. How Can The Word Of God Be A Light In Our Lives? The Bible is full of truth. When we let the word of God transform us it affects the way we live our lives. When we let God’s word define our worth and purpose and build our beliefs on the truth we won’t stumble. Just like a little light gives enough light so that we see how to place our feet for the very next step, God wants to guide us for every next step we make. Only having enough light for the next few steps demands us to trust God. Even if we don’t see exactly where we are heading, we know that God is in control that He knows exactly what is best for us and that he has many good things in store for us. Romans 12:2 – Then You Will Be Able To Test And Approve What God’s Will Is “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”Romans 12:2 When transformation of our minds happens and we build our lives of the truth, we will know what God’s will is. God’s will is good, pleasing and perfect. In order for us to know his will, we need to let him transform our way of thinking. I think this transformation is an ongoing process that we get to choose to live in. Letting the word of God transform our minds is a daily choice. There is always more! God has always something new for us. There is so much still lying ahead of us that we will get to experience together with God. Life with God is very exciting. Time To Reflect Here is a free printable worksheet that you can use to process the Bible verses from this blog post. When we take time to do something creative to process the word of God I think we give space for him to work on our hearts. So feel free to use this printable to write down what God is highlighting in these verses.

Here are some Bible verses about the goodness of God to remind us that God has our very best interest in mind. Learning to trust that God really is who the Bible says he is, has the power to change the way we live our lives. If we truly to our core believe that God is all-knowing and has our very best interest in mind, it’s easy to invite him, not only when life is tough but also to go first to him with both small and bigger decisions we need to make. I was once challenged with the question: Do you really believe what you believe that you believe? At first, I thought it was a strange question. Of course, I knew what my beliefs were!? But soon I realized that I had a hard time letting go of control and fully trusting that God knew what was best for me. If I had a hard time fully trusting in God and trusting that He had my best interest in mind, it also meant that I actually didn’t fully believe that God is good. But the Bible is very clear on the fact that God is good. And God will never change. Here are some Bible verses about that. Bible Verses About The Goodness Of God In The Psalms “Oh, how abundant is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you and worked for those who take refuge in you, in the sight of the children of mankind!”Psalms 31:19 The goodness of God is mentioned many times in the Psalms. Psalm 31, 34, 107 and 119 are just a few examples. “Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!”Psalm 34:8 Taste and see that the Lord is good. Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. When we trust in God and put our trust in him, we will see that God truly is good. The word of God speaks about God’s goodness but we can also experience it ourselves when let go of control and let Him guide us. “Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!”Psalm 107:1 Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever! God’s love for us endures forever. God is eternal and will always stay the same. “You are good and do good; teach me your statutes.”Psalm 119:68 God is good and does good. “Teach me your statues.” the Psalmist says. God gets to form us and transform us. God’s Goodness In The Old and New Testament “And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good.”Genesis 1:30 Even from the very beginning of the Bible, we can read about how God created this earth and how he saw that what he had created was very good. The earth he had created reflected his character. “Moses said, “Please show me your glory.” And he said, “I will make all my goodness pass before you and will proclaim before you my name ‘The Lord.’ And I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.””Exodus 33:18-19 In Exodus, we can read how Moses asked God to show him his glory. God answered that he would make all his goodness pass before him. In the next verse, in verse 20, God says that Moses couldn’t see his face because no one can see the face of God and live. God’s glory is so great that we can’t see his face and live. “The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.”Zephaniah 3:17 The Prophets in the Old Testament speak about the goodness of God. The Goodness Of God In The New Testament “But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”Romans 5:8 The New Testament starts with the four gospels that tell us the incredible story of God sending his son to earth to die for our sins. God’s unconditional love for us makes his goodness so evident to us. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”Galatians 5:22-23 Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control are fruits of the spirit of God. All these things reflect who God is. And through the Holy Spirit, these things get to grow in our lives. When We Believe God Is Good It’s Easy To Trust Him Soo.. back to the introduction. When we believe that God is good it is easy to trust him. I think that our relationship with God actually isn’t that different from any other relationship. We won’t trust a person before we get to know them. Even if our best friend says that a person is trustworthy, if we don’t know them personally, we will have a hard time trusting them. So to fully trust God I think we need to get to know him personally. Through reading his word, praying and letting him have his say in the decisions we make, we get to know him and when our relationship with him gets tighter we will grow in our trust in him. Processing These Bible Verses In order to let the word of God transform our lives we need to make take time to let God work on our hearts. Here is a free printable that you can use to process some of the Bible verses from this blog post. Take some time and write down what they tell about who God is and what that means to you.

Bible Verses About The Goodness Of God In The Psalms

The goodness of God is mentioned many times in the Psalms. Psalm 31, 34, 107 and 119 are just a few examples.

“Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!”
Psalm 34:8

Taste and see that the Lord is good. Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. When we trust in God and put our trust in him, we will see that God truly is good. The word of God speaks about God’s goodness but we can also experience it ourselves when let go of control and let Him guide us.

Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever! God’s love for us endures forever. God is eternal and will always stay the same.

God is good and does good. “Teach me your statues.” the Psalmist says. God gets to form us and transform us.

God’s Goodness In The Old and New Testament

“And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good.”
Genesis 1:30

Even from the very beginning of the Bible, we can read about how God created this earth and how he saw that what he had created was very good. The earth he had created reflected his character.

“Moses said, “Please show me your glory.” And he said, “I will make all my goodness pass before you and will proclaim before you my name ‘The Lord.’ And I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.””
Exodus 33:18-19

In Exodus, we can read how Moses asked God to show him his glory. God answered that he would make all his goodness pass before him. In the next verse, in verse 20, God says that Moses couldn’t see his face because no one can see the face of God and live. God’s glory is so great that we can’t see his face and live.

The Prophets in the Old Testament speak about the goodness of God.

The Goodness Of God In The New Testament

The New Testament starts with the four gospels that tell us the incredible story of God sending his son to earth to die for our sins. God’s unconditional love for us makes his goodness so evident to us.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”
Galatians 5:22-23

Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control are fruits of the spirit of God. All these things reflect who God is. And through the Holy Spirit, these things get to grow in our lives.

When We Believe God Is Good It’s Easy To Trust Him

Soo.. back to the introduction.

Processing These Bible Verses

In order to let the word of God transform our lives we need to make take time to let God work on our hearts.

Here is a free printable that you can use to process some of the Bible verses from this blog post. Take some time and write down what they tell about who God is and what that means to you.

Here are some free printable coloring cards with Bible verses about friendship. Today it’s Valentine’s Day and that day is celebrated in many different countries all around the world. Valentine’s Day is a perfect excuse to show some love to the people around us that we care about. I don’t know what Valentine’s Day looks like where you live, in some parts of the world it seems like Valentine’s Day is mostly celebrated by couples and it’s celebrated in a romantic way. In Finland, where I grew up, Valentine’s Day is called “friend day”. It is a day when friendship is celebrated. I grew up, telling people “Happy Friend Day”, on the 14th of February. On Friends’ Day in Finland, you could get a card or note from a friend to wish each other a Happy Friend Day. I kind of like that tradition. I think we more often celebrate the love between couples than see the value of true friendship. So let’s take the chance to show our friends that we appreciate them this Valentine’s Day. One way of doing that could be to give them a card. Making a personal card for someone you care about is made really easy by using one of these coloring cards below. These coloring cards are free to download and print out. Coloring Cards With Bible Verses About Friendship All of the coloring cards in this blog post have some Bible verses about friendship. If you would prefer a card without scripture you can go to this blog post instead to find coloring cards with hearts but without text: https://underbartskapad.com/floral-heart-coloring-pages-free-download/ Friendship is something we can read about in the Bible, here is a verse from Proverbs that describes friendship really well. “Perfume and incense bring joy to the heart, and the pleasantness of a friend springs from their heartfelt advice.”Proverbs 27:9 Friends who give heartfelt advice are so valuable. True friends are not afraid to be honest. I think there is something so beautiful about how friends when they trust in each other, can be honest and know that that’s okay. Having a friend who dares to give advice that is challenging is something that can bring growth when it’s needed. John 15:13 Coloring Page “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” John 15:13 The Bible talks about how we get to love because God first loved us. Jesus showed us such a radical love through the death on the cross that He suffered for our sins. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. That sacrificial love that Jesus has for us is for everyone. Maybe you know someone who needs a reminder that they are unconditionally loved. Printing out this coloring page and giving it to someone can be a creative way to remind someone that they are deeply loved by their creator and heavenly Father. “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor:If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.”Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 I remember that the verses from Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 were quoted at our wedding. I think knowing that we are stronger together is a very good foundation to build life on. We were not created to spend our life alone in isolation. “If either of them falls down, one can help the other up”. I have seen this so very true in our marriage. When one of us is worn down and tired, it’s so good to know there is someone else there to support us. Same thing with friends. When we choose to surround ourselves with community and friends, we have people to celebrate with when there are things to celebrate but also we have people in our lives to help us up when that is needed. I hope that these coloring cards with Bible verses about friendship will be useful for you. Looking For More Coloring Pages?

Here are some Bible verses about love that remind us of the love God has for us and how we can love others with the love he has given us. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”John 3:16 One of the most known Bible verses from the whole Bible is John chapter 3, verse 16. This verse tells us the gospel in a few words. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. In Genesis, we can read how God created the earth and that it was so good. We can also read how Adam and Eve chose to eat the forbidden fruit, by doing so they chose to not obey God. Sin entered the world and therefore we live in a broken world. But God chose to send his only son to die for us so that everyone who believes in Jesus wouldn’t perish but have eternal life. “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”John 15:13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. The sacrificial love that we can see in the story of God sending his own son to earth to die for us is so deep. Bible Verses About Love – He Loved Us First We can see how deep God’s love is for us throughout the Bible. “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”Romans 5:8 So we can rely on the love God has for us. God is love. God loves us in an unconditional way. When we let God define what is love, we have a very firm foundation to stand on. There is no greater love than the love Jesus demonstrated on the cross. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. God doesn’t love us because we deserve it. God’s love for us is not based on our performances but on who we are. “And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.”1 John 4:16 When we get to know who God is, we get to know a love that transforms us. God’s love has the power to transform the way that we see the world, the people around us and ourselves. “Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.”1 John 4:8 God is love, getting to know God will transform us. We Love Because He First Loved Us “We love because He first loved us.”1 John 4:19 Everything we do, we get to do through him. We get to love others because God loves us. “For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.”2 Timothy 1:7 Through the Holy Spirit, we get to grow in power, love and self-discipline. “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”1 John 4:18 The love that God has for us drives out fear. We get to live through love and not be driven by fear when we lean into God’s love for us. Bible Verses About A Transformative Love. “But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.”Matthew 5:44 The Bible tells us to even love our enemies, it tells us to pray for those who persecute us. Jesus died for us while we were still sinners. When Jesus was crucified he prayed for the people that crucified him. Jesus set the example of how we get to live in a broken world. We get to be a part of reflecting the unconditional love God has for us to other people. “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.”1 Corinthians 13:4-5 1 Corinthians chapter 13 is often quoted at weddings. Love is patient and kind. Love doesn’t envy or boast, it isn’t proud. Love doesn’t dishonor others or is self-seeking, it is not easily angered and it keeps no records of wrongs. A Different Kind Of Love This world tries to define love in so many different ways. If we go to the Bible to find the definition we will be challenged by the love that we have been shown through Christ. The Bible tells us that God is love. The Bible also tells us that God is eternal and never changes. So there is a love that is unconditional and that never will change. Love doesn’t come and go. It doesn’t change and it will never cease. If you want to read more about God’s love for us, you can follow this link to another blog post about that: https://underbartskapad.com/bible-verses-about-gods-unconditional-love/ You Were Wonderfully Made This website is inspired by the verse in Psalm 139 where David says that God’s works are wonderful. David thanks God that he was made in such a fearful and wonderful way. David adds that he knows that full well. We wish that this website will be a place where people will be reminded of that God creates in a wonderful way. You were created in a wonderful way. We pray that you will know that full well. There is so much purpose in your life and God made you in a very intentional way. A Creative Place To Be Inspired We also hope that this website will be a place to be inspired to be creative and enjoy the creativity that God has given us. As we are in January right now and it’s cold and snowy, you can expect some knitting inspiration in the coming months alongside other fun creative ideas to try. We hope you will have a blessed start on 2025. And hope to see you again soon!

Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. The sacrificial love that we can see in the story of God sending his own son to earth to die for us is so deep.

Bible Verses About Love – He Loved Us First

We can see how deep God’s love is for us throughout the Bible.

So we can rely on the love God has for us. God is love. God loves us in an unconditional way. When we let God define what is love, we have a very firm foundation to stand on. There is no greater love than the love Jesus demonstrated on the cross.

The Bible tells us to even love our enemies, it tells us to pray for those who persecute us.

It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.”
1 Corinthians 13:4-5

1 Corinthians chapter 13 is often quoted at weddings. Love is patient and kind. Love doesn’t envy or boast, it isn’t proud. Love doesn’t dishonor others or is self-seeking, it is not easily angered and it keeps no records of wrongs.

A Different Kind Of Love

This world tries to define love in so many different ways.

You Were Wonderfully Made

This website is inspired by the verse in Psalm 139 where David says that God’s works are wonderful.

A Creative Place To Be Inspired

We also hope that this website will be a place to be inspired to be creative and enjoy the creativity that God has given us.

As we are in January right now and it’s cold and snowy, you can expect some knitting inspiration in the coming months alongside other fun creative ideas to try.

We hope you will have a blessed start on 2025. And hope to see you again soon!

Here are some Bible verses about life that talk about how we were given life by our creator and how Jesus came to give us life to the full. I don’t know if you have ever felt like you are in a dry season in your life like there is a lack of joy and life and enjoyment of the things you are blessed with. I think we all go through times like that when it feels like there is not much passion behind the things we do and it can be discouraging. Sometimes I think we look for life in places where we can’t find it. Maybe we think that if we buy a certain thing or achieve a certain goal we will feel like life matters again. A Way To Experience True Life But what I can see looking back is that the moments where I have felt most alive are the moments spent with my creator. Out of the moments spent with our heavenly Father letting him show us who he is and letting his Spirit lead us in everyday life, there is a life to the full that we can experience that we will find nowhere else. That life can’t be bought with money. But it was paid for with a very high price when Jesus died for us on the cross. Jesus tells us in John chapter 10 that: “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”John 10:10 The thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Jesus came so that we can have life, and have it to the full. That kind of life, a life to the full, is the kind of life that this blog post is about. 15 Bible Verses About Life The gospel of John tells us that Jesus brings life. Through Jesus, we can have life. Life that can’t be found in this world. Jesus talks about himself as the bread of life. The life he gives us is eternal. “Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.””John 6:35 Jesus says that whoever believes in him, never will go hungry, and whoever believes in him will never be thirsty. The life we get through him brings satisfaction because it brings us closer to our creator. We were created to be in a close relationship with God and through believing in Jesus that is possible. Jesus died for our sins, we now get to live holy through his forgiveness and can be close to our heavenly Father who is holy. Jesus Is The Way, The Truth, And The Life “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.””John 14:6 Jesus is the way and the truth and the LIFE. There is no way to the Father except through him. “When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.””John 8:12 Jesus also talks about how he is the light of the world. Whoever follows Jesus will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. When we follow Jesus, we get to have the light of life. What Does It Mean To Follow Jesus? What does it mean then to follow Jesus? We can read in the Bible how Jesus called his disciples, how they dropped their nets and chose to leave everything behind and follow Jesus. The word follow means to move behind someone or something and go where he, she, or it goes(Cambridge Dictionary). When we follow someone, we go where the person we follow goes. We fully allow the person leading to show us where to go. When we follow Jesus, he gets to show us how to live, how to speak, and how to think about things. It is a true transformation because we know that the life he gives is not of this world. Whoever Has The Son Has Life – Bible Verses About Life Through Jesus “Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.”1 John 5:12 When we follow Jesus, we have life! “And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.”Romans 8:11 The Holy Spirit lives in us and God who raised Christ from the dead gives life to us! In Christ All Will Be Made Alive “For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.”1 Corinthians 15:22 Through Christ we are made alive. “The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.”Romans 8:6 The mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. “For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.”Matthew 16:25 If we choose to value following Jesus higher than things of this earth, we will find and experience true life. “Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.”Matthew 10:39 This is also said in Matthew chapter 10. Jesus Gives Us Life To The Full “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”Galatians 2:20 The word of God is very clear about the fact that we get to wholeheartedly live our lives in a close relationship with Jesus. Through the Holy Spirit, we get to live, talk, and do things that bring life to us and the people around us. “This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.”1 John 4:9 I guess you see the pattern. Scripture just keeps repeating the same thing. God the Father sent his son into the world that we might live through him. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. When the word of God repeats itself, we get to give that some extra attention. Sometimes we need to remind ourselves over and over again what the scriptures say about certain things. How Jesus gives us life to the full is one eternal truth that we get to live out every day. “Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.”Galatians 5:25 Let’s keep God’s word in the forefront of our minds. Let’s choose to read it in the start of our days and meditate on it throughout our days. You Will Shine Like Stars In The Sky “Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life.”Philippians 2:14-16 When we choose to live in a way that reflects who Jesus is we shine like stars in the sky. The ways of Jesus are not like the ways of this world. In His Presence, We Know The Path Of Life “You make known to me the path of life;you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.”Psalm 16:11 When we spend time in the presence of God we get to know the path of life. The teachings of Jesus truly transform us. Getting to know Jesus, reading about who he is in his word, and letting it transform the way we view ourselves and the people around us will make us live a life of truth and life to the full. Life with Jesus is such an adventure. The word of God has truly transformed my life, the way I view myself, and the way I view this world. I know that when we spend time reading the Bible and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal Jesus to us, it starts to transform us deeply.
15 Bible Verses About Life

The gospel of John tells us that Jesus brings life. Through Jesus, we can have life. Life that can’t be found in this world.

Jesus talks about himself as the bread of life. The life he gives us is eternal.

Jesus says that whoever believes in him, never will go hungry, and whoever believes in him will never be thirsty. The life we get through him brings satisfaction because it brings us closer to our creator. We were created to be in a close relationship with God and through believing in Jesus that is possible.

Jesus died for our sins, we now get to live holy through his forgiveness and can be close to our heavenly Father who is holy.

The word of God is very clear about the fact that we get to wholeheartedly live our lives in a close relationship with Jesus. Through the Holy Spirit, we get to live, talk, and do things that bring life to us and the people around us.

I guess you see the pattern. Scripture just keeps repeating the same thing. God the Father sent his son into the world that we might live through him. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.

When the word of God repeats itself, we get to give that some extra attention. How Jesus gives us life to the full is one eternal truth that we get to live out every day.
