March is here! Spring is here! Oh, how nice that is! This year we have had a very dark winter here in Sweden. I think we have had snow for maybe two weeks and the rest of the winter has been dark and wet.

Those kinds of winters are not my favorite. I would so much prefer a winter that is a little bit colder but with more snow. Just a little bit of snow makes things more bright.

So, after a winter like this, spring feels so welcome. Days are getting longer and I am looking forward to warmer days.

So, to celebrate that spring is coming, here are some coloring pages with flowers and others things specific to spring and summer.

The Bible is such an endless source of wisdom that we all can keep on getting wisdom and guidance from. Reading the Bible on a regular basis is really just such a blessing.

Sometimes it is hard to know when to fit that into our schedule but I know from personal experience that the seasons in my life when I have prioritized reading God’s word have been the most fruitful ones.

Reading the Bible also makes me keep my focus on the most important things and not lose perspective on life. So I really try to make some time each day to read the word and talk with God.

Just as light shines for everyone in a room, we get to share the things that we have received from God with everyone in our surroundings.

As I am writing this, we are only a week away from Easter. God so loved the world that He sent His only son to die for us(John 3:16). Jesus died for us so that could live forgiven and free from sin. Jesus won over death and death has now lost its sting.

These news are so amazing. We get to share these news to people around us and fill their lives with hope and redemption. Shining our light might look different for everyone. Some of us are outgoing while others are more introverted.

I definitely fit more into the introverted category. I am not the first person to speak. But I do believe that God is the one that gave us the personality we have and the gifting we have. He also says that we all are a part of shining in this world so each of us can share our light in different ways.

Last week I listened to a podcast episode on the Whoa that’s good podcast where Sadie Robertson and her husband talked a little bit about how we all are unique but that we all get to be a part of sharing the good news with the world.

Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones. There is so much power in words.

Sometimes I think it is easy to think that it doesn’t matter so much how we express ourselves and I know I at least have thought before that no-one really cares about what I say so then it doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter if the words are use not always are loving and kind. But I have learnt that that is not so.

There is so much power in words. Through our words we can choose to build up or tear down, we can choose to encourage or discourage. The last years I have really tried to keep on encouraging. This is also something we are trying to teach our kids. From a young age, our words has power to create something uplifting or tear down.

Gracious words are sweet to the soul.

Be strong and courageous. This is a verse that really has stuck with our middle child. This past fall, He was not so happy about returning to preschool and the first morning back I told Him to say those words out loud.

“I am strong and courageous” He said, first not really believing what He said but now we can hear him saying those words so often. 😀 It is so cool to see that the words we speak out form the way we view ourselves and our surroundings.

The most powerful part of the verse is not the strong and courageous part, the reason we can be strong and courageous is that the Lord our God is with us. God is so great and he is by our side when we choose to follow Jesus. So we don’t need to find all the answers in ourselves, we get to be defined by the purposes God has put on our lives.

So, remember, You as a follower of Christ, can be strong and courageous because the Lord your god will be with you.

You don’t need to be strong in yourself and know all the answers. God is the one that is in control and He loves you so much! You are seen and your life has so much purpose.

On this website, we have published many Christmas coloring pages during the few last years.

As I was looking through all the Christmas coloring pages that we have here on this website I realized that most of the coloring pages were quite detailed and the lines were thin.

As we try to offer different kinds of coloring pages to different age groups I thought that it was time to publish some coloring pages that could work even for younger children.

Our one-and-a-half-year-old has now really started to show interest when our older two children are coloring so we know that really small children sometimes also want to join in on the activities that older kids do.

Isaiah 42:5-7

In chapter 42 of Isaiah, we can read about how God is the creator of all. He created the heavens and stretched them out. God creating the heavens and being so much greater that the heavens really is hard for me to grasp.

God is so big! And then the chapter continues that God is very close to his people. He holds their hand.

God also declares that his people will be a light to the gentiles, He longs to see every person and every nation turn to Him.

I think it is amazing to be reminded of how big God is and then the next thing that follows we see a God that is so close and that longs to be close to every person on this earth!

Christmas Is A Time When The Good News Is Shared

Christmas is a time of year when a lot of people are going to church and are reminded of what the Bible teaches about why we celebrate Christmas.

Jesus came to earth to save You! He loves You so much!

Jesus came to set You free!

I think that sometimes it is hard to really understand that God sees the big picture and is omnipresent. He knows everything but still he cares for every one of us individually.

For me at least, it was easier to understand that God sent His son to save us. That he had such great love for all humans that He sent His son.

God Goes To Look For One Lost Cheap

But we can also read in the Bible that He goes to look for just one missing cheap. He loves each and every one of us so much that he would send His son to save us.

Believing that God is a God that loves was far easier for me than really trusting in His love for me.

If you are struggling to really trust that God loves you, please take some time and ask Him to reveal His love for you. He wants to show you how much He loves you!

God is truly both very very big. He created the heavens and Stretched the skies. But He also sees you! He cares about every small detail in your life!

Another thing I have struggled to understand is just that. That God cares about every aspect of my life.

Sometimes I think we are really good at seeking God when it is Sunday but we struggle to understand that He is interested in all the other days of our life as well.

God wants to be close to us every moment of our lives.

This autumn has been really warm here in Sweden but these last couple of weeks, the temperature has dropped and it’s starting to feel like fall.

This week the leaves in the trees are really starting to change in color. It is such a pretty time of year. I love this part of fall when the trees still are full of leaves but the colors are so warm and beautiful.

The colors of fall are just so comforting in some way. Fall means that the days are getting shorter and nights are darker but I appreciate all the time inside cuddling up with blankets.

Fall time has always been a favorite part of the year for me. Maybe that is related to that I have my birthday in October and fall has always been related to celebration because of that.

Fall is definitely just such a wonderful time of year. The end of fall though, can be pretty dark and rainy, so I am enjoying the colors while they last.

This past summer, we made a family trip to a local zoo. It was such a fun day with so many animals that our children got to see for the first time.

Truly, both our children and us adults had a great time enjoying all the beauty and uniqueness of the different kinds of animals.

It is so amazing to see the variation of all the different species. Some are so big and others so small.

The elephants and giraffes, oh, they are so big. I guess it’s no surprise. But seeing them up close really made me a bit nervous. 😉

Everything in creation shows us so much about the creator. God is so very creative.

I think it is a good reminder sometimes to look at all the things that God has made and see how endless his creativity is.

God could create anything but he chose to create this earth and all that is within it. God chose to create you.

Growing up, summers in Finland often meant not-so-hot weather and not so many sunny days. But during recent years, including this summer that is going on right now, the weather has been warm and sunny for longer periods of time and we have enjoyed many days in the sun.

The Lord is so worthy of all our praise. God was the beginning of everything. We exist because he wants us to exist. Everything that God has created has a purpose.

“From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the Lord is to be praised.”

Apart from bringing so much light and warmth to our days the sun also keeps the cycle of night and day going every day. God created this earth and the sun in a way that means we get to enjoy both night and day. There is a time to wake up and a time to go to sleep every day.

God is so worthy of our praise through it all.

As you are enjoying the sun this summer, remember that the one that placed all the stars in the sky and made this earth so beautiful also loves you. You are so loved by Him.

He created you with so much purpose and intention.

We have really enjoyed these first warm and bright weeks of summer!

I have heard that the prediction for this summer actually is that it’s going to be a warm summer so we are looking forward to that.

But as with any summer here in the North, there will always be some rainy days as well. So, I thought that we would prepare for that as well. 😉

Easy Coloring Pages for Smaller Kids

These coloring pages are suitable even for smaller kids as they don’t have that many details.

In our family, I have realized that even our six-year-old really appreciates coloring pages that are simpler.

Patience is not very easy for our children. I guess that is the same for most kids. So even if kids that are older get more experience in coloring and could do really well with more details on a coloring page, I guess their patience is not there yet.

So going from coloring pages with thick lines and few details to coloring pages that are harder, at least in our family it is better to go with thinner lines first and then choose coloring pages with more details later on.

Umbrellas, umbrellas, umbrellas. Rainy days are not always that that fun but one thing that our children really like is umbrellas. Our one-year-old looks so cute when she walks around with her pink umbrella.

Umbrellas can have so many different colors so we hope you will have fun with this coloring page with an umbrella.
