A new year has begun and for some of us, that means stepping into something new. Further down you will find some bible verses about a new beginning that will encourage you.

One of the songs that really has kept me going this year is a song in Swedish that is about God’s mercy.
God’s mercy and compassion is new every morning.
I think we all go through seasons that force us to take just one day at a time. Some weeks this year have been those kinds of weeks. I have not been able to focus on more than one day at a time.
Knowing that God is faithful and that every morning is a new opportunity to choose to stay close to the Lord has kept me hopeful.
God is so faithful!
Now, we are entering a new year.

Bible Verses About A New Beginning
“You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.”
Ephesians 4:22-24
In Ephesians chapter 4, we can read that we get to put on a new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
We get to leave our old selves behind and enter into a new attitude in our minds.
Sometimes we need to let go of our old selves to be able to replace it with the new.
Ask God if there is something that you are still carrying that is not from him. Maybe it is a habit that isn’t giving honor to him. Or maybe there is a person that hurt you that you need to forgive.
God wants to be close to you and take your burdens away. We also get to live free from sin. But the choice is ours to make.
“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me – put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.”
Philippians 4:7-9
“Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.”
We need to put the things we learn from God into practice. That is the way that we truly will be transformed.
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
Romans 12:2
When our minds are renewed, we will be able to test and approve what God’s will is. That is how we can tell the truth apart from lies.
The truth will set us free!
When we let God transform our minds, we will more clearly see what his plans are for us. We understand what is good for us and what we should stay away from.
It is not always an easy process but it is the best place to be at!

his love endures for ever.”
Through everything we do, we need to remember that the Lord is worth all our praise.
Everything we do should be to give him glory!
Let’s lift him up this coming year!

Philippians 4:4-6
Philippians 4:4-6 are some of my favorite bible verses, I could not leave them out. They have such wise instructions for how to live life and not be anxious. Let’s live in close communication with our maker.
What Is A Good Bible Verse For A New Beginning?
“‘Forget the former things;
Isaiah 43:18-19
do not dwell on the past.
See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland.”
Isaiah 43:22-23 is a verse that reminds us that it is God that makes the way. We can strive and try to do so many different things in our own strength but God longs to be the one that makes the way for us!
When we are entering into something new, God should be the one showing us the way.
I have heard someone say many times that we as humans sometimes make our own plans and then ask God to bless them but that the right way to do it would be to ask God for direction and know that He will be with you.
Sometimes I guess we take detours when we simply forget to invite God from the beginning. God wants to be with us the whole process.
So if you are looking for a good bible verse for a friend who is entering something new Isaiah 43:22-23 could be a good reminder that God wants to be the way-maker.
