If we want to find our refuge in God we need to get close to him. When we read the Bible and pray and seek him we get a greater understanding about who God is. When we choose to believe that God is the one he says he is and we start applying his word in our lives we will find our refuge in him.
God wants to be our refuge. When we seek him and decide to follow Jesus, we will be covered by his wings. His truth will cover us and he will be our shield and rampart.
Knowing what is true will protect us from lies.

God Will Always Be Faithful
Living life with God doesn’t mean life will be easy. There are many times in life when challenges seem to pile up and circumstances can be very hard.
When Israel and Joshua were about to enter the promised land God told them:
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Deuteronomy 31:6
The people of Israel were about to enter what had been promised to them. Their story had at times been filled with doubt and disobedience, still, God held his promise.
To them, God said that he never would leave them nor forsake them.
I think he says the same thing to us when we choose to live life following Him.
When we choose to place his word first, he equips us and gives us guidance and wisdom.
