Encouraging Bible Verses,  Identity in Christ

Bible Verses About God’s Unconditional Love

Here are some encouraging bible verses about God’s unconditional love.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

John 3:16

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

It was because of God’s great love that he sent his Son to die for us. God’s love for us is so great that He chose to send his son to die on the cross for our sake.

graphic with the bible verse John 15:13

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”

John 15:13

Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. The sacrificial love that we witness through the sacrifice of Jesus dying on the cross is so great.

By Grace, We Are Saved

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— “

Ephesians 2:8

It is through God’s grace that we have been saved. Jesus dying for us on the cross is a gift from God.

There is nothing that we can do to save ourselves. Only through the blood of Jesus we can be forgiven and made new.

All throughout the Bible we can see how God loves us so much. We can see how wonderfully He created this whole earth, how faithful He was to His people, and when Jesus was born we can see how he sent his son to die for us. Only because of His great love for us.

So being loved by God has nothing to do with the things we do. God wants to renew our thoughts and He shows us in His word how to live in order to feel well and how to honor Him.

When we follow Jesus we get to transform our lifestyle in a way that gives us an opportunity to live the way that we were created to live. Also, sin makes it impossible to live closely with God that is Holy. so of course we want to take the words of instruction that we can read in the Bible to our hearts and start living accordingly.

But our deeds, have nothing to do with how much God loves us.

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Romans 5:8

Understanding That God Loves You

I grew up in a Christian home. We went to church, and Sunday school, and we read bible stories at home. Over the years I heard so many times that God loves us.

Believing that God is a loving God came easily to me. Believing God loved my friends was easy. But believing God actually loved me personally was way harder!

In some intellectual way, I always thought I did understand that God loved me. But later as I understood that the way I thought about myself didn’t reflect my identity as a daughter to a loving God, I started to realize that really understanding that God loved me wasn’t that easy at all!

Many times we believe that we believe something we actually don’t believe at all.

God’s Love Is Unconditional

The truth is that God loves each and every one of us in a very personal way. This is a firm foundation for our identity.

His love for each of us is personal and unique. In the same way as a parent loves each of her/his children and would risk her/his life for each of them, God loves each of us in a very unique and personal way.

God´s love is unconditional. We can’t deserve his love, unconditional love is never earned. Things we do, do not affect the amount of love he has for us!

This truth is absolute. It will never change. Because God never changes. Knowing God’s unconditional love leads to having an identity that can’t be shaken.

You are God’s beloved! Nothing you do will ever change that!

Bible Verses About God’s Unconditional Love

”And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.”
1 John 4:16

”For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 8: 38-39

You are so loved! Romans 8 tells us that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth nor anything else in creation, will be able to separate us from the love God has for us!

One part of what we want to do with this website is to find creative ways to process the word of God and also to find ways to be reminded of His word in our everyday lives.

One way of being reminded of God’s word all throughout our day is to have scripture in places we see often. Maybe we can write down a Bible verse in our calendar or have a bookmark with a Bible verse in a book that we are reading.
