Coloring is an activity that many kids never seem to get tired of doing. It is also one of my favorite activities to do with my daughter when we are indoors. It gives us time to be creative and talk at the same time.

This verse from Joshua chapter 1 comes from a time when Joshua was the new leader of Israel and the Lord was speaking to Joshua about entering the land that he had promised them.
It was for sure a very challenging time, I can’t imagine it being something else thinking about the huge task that was handed to him.
In that time God was reminding him that he didn’t need to be afraid. God was with him through it all!
Now, looking back, as we all can continue reading and seeing God’s faithfulness through it all it’s easy to state that that was true. God was faithful and he stayed with them through it all.
It’s not always that easy to really trust in that when we ourselves are in a similar situation of feeling God calling us into something new but at the same time also seeing the challenges it brings.
But know, that God always will be faithful! He will never change!
Ha was faithful during the time of Joshua, he is faithful now, and he will be faithful tomorrow!

By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. Hebrews chapter 11 is a chapter full of reminders of people in the Bible who acted out of faith.
Having faith many times means trusting the greatness more than the circumstances around us.
Joshua knew that God was so great and that no one was greater than him. Noah knew that God was serious when he got the warning from God. He acted on the things that God showed him.
Hebrews chapter 11 continues with many examples of people who knew God and that acted when God spoke. It is a cool place in scripture to be encouraged if you are facing challenging times.
Hot Air Balloon Coloring Pages
As God calls us out on new adventures the most important thing is to stay close to him. I like to think about the hot air balloons reminding us about that.
For the hot air balloons to function, hot air is needed. In the same way, we are dependent on God’s guidance through everything we do.
Just as so many people before us have lived life close to God as we can read about in Hebrews chapter 11, we still are called to live that same way.
Knowing our creator and our heavenly Father and the power he has gives us confidence.
When kids learn how hot air balloons work, it is also an easy parable for kids to understand the dependency we are called to have on God. So if you want to bring the topic of our dependency on God to their level, this is a fun way to do that!
