Springtime is a beautiful time! Slowly everything comes to life again. It is truly such a joy to watch.
Our six-year-old is waiting on the flowers to bloom and has been waiting for quite some time now, as we got a couple of weeks of snow now at the end of March and the beginning of April.
But the last couple of days have been sunny and warmer so the wildflowers are slowly growing.
It is so sweet to experience life together with children when the seasons are changing because they are so excited. It’s hard not to be swept into the way that they see things.
Children are really good at stopping and seeing the things around them. When snow is falling, they get excited about that, and when flowers start to grow they stop and take their time being amazed by them.
During these last few years when I have lived life together with small kids, they have taught me to slow down and enjoy the beautiful things around me.
As seasons change, and we enjoy that, we also know, God stays the same! He is so so faithful!
God Is Faithful When Season Change
“Let us acknowledge the Lord;
Hosea 6:3
let us press on to acknowledge him.
As surely as the sun rises,
he will appear;
he will come to us like the winter rains,
like the spring rains that water the earth.””
This verse reminds us about God’s faithfulness. God is so faithful, even in times when we don’t deserve it.
The words in Hosea 6:3 were written after a time when Israel had been walking in disobedience and they had to suffer the consequences of that.
But even in that time, Hosea reminds them of God’s faithfulness and grace.
As we have been celebrating Easter, we have all been reminded of the grace of God. He gives second chances and offers new life to us who actually don’t deserve it at all.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
2 Corinthians 5:17
As the spring rains and flowers come, we get to be reminded of God’s faithfulness. The old has gone and the new is here, for those who choose to believe.
