6 Of The Most Powerful Bible Verses
Here are 6 of the most powerful Bible verses in the Bible.
These last months, I have been taking a course about blogging. I have learned a lot about keywords and keyword research.
I have understood the importance of making it easier for people to find the blog posts that I am writing.
Everyone who ever has tried blogging knows that there is a lot of time that we spend on writing content that we hope will be helpful to others. It would then be foolish to not try our best to help others find that content that we make. Blog posts that aren’t found are no help to anyone.
So like so many other bloggers I am now researching what questions people are searching the answer for. Researching what words people are typing in on Google when they are wondering about something shows a little bit about what is on their minds.
As I was researching I found that the keywords “the most powerful bible verses” are quite often searched for. That made me wonder, why so? Why are people looking for the most powerful Bible verses of the Bible?
I think it’s quite cool that people are looking up the most powerful Bible verses in the Bible because that means that people see that there is power in the words of the Bible.
As we read the Bible we see that there is a theme throughout the whole Bible. God creates the earth with animals and people to live in it. Everything goes wrong and the people turn their back to God.
But the God we can read about in the Bible is a merciful God, we can see that He chooses to forgive, and He even sends His only son to earth to die so that we can be reconciled with Him again.
There is so much power in the story of the Bible. It truly has the power to change our lives. Let’s look at some of the verses that show some of the power of the story.
6 Of the Most Powerful Bible Verses In The Bible

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
John 3:16
John 3:16 is one of the most known Bible verses, maybe we have heard it that many times that we get blind to how powerful it is. But truly, this verse has so much power.
God so loved the world that He sent His own son to die for us so that we once again could live closely with Him and have eternal life!
If I had to name the most powerful Bible verse of the entire Bible, John 3:16 maybe would be it.

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written:
“For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 8:35-39
There is nothing that can separate us from the love of Christ. Christ came down to this earth to be fully man and fully God. He died on the cross so that our sins could be forgiven.
The Lord Has The Power But The Choice Is Ours

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” “
1 John 1:9
The choice is still up to us. Jesus opened the way but we still need to take the step to believe and choose to follow Him. If we confess our sins, He will forgive us. We are purified from all unrighteousness.

“And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.”
Romans 8:11
If we choose to repent and give our life to Jesus our lives will be transformed. The spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in those who follow Him!
The power of God is available to us through the Holy Spirit. God is such a powerful God.

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.”
Ephesians 6:10-18
In order to stand firm against the evil one we need to keep our focus on the right thing.
Bible verses that tell us the core of the story of the Bible are so powerful. The victory was won through Jesus.
Other Bible verses that have the power to change lives are the ones that instruct us on how to stay firm in our faith. Some Bible verses that so clearly instruct us in how we can stand firm in what is true are the Bible verses about the armor of God from Ephesians chapter 6.
Taking on the whole armor of God is powerful! These last couple of years I have been reminded of how the word of God is like a sword. A couple of years ago I heard someone say that sometimes we have a favorite verse that we cling to in all challenges in life.
But sometimes God wants to give us a specific Bible verse for a specific challenge we face.
A Specific Word When Faced With A Challenge
Something I have been struggling with is fear and this Bible verse has helped me a lot in moments when I feel that fear is creeping in.
“For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.”
2 Timothy 1:7
Sometimes, when we are faced with a challenge, god wants to give us a specific word that can help us remember what is true.

“With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies.”
Psalm 108:13
Even in the old testament, the people of God knew that victory was won with God on their side. God has been, is and always will be the same.
“What Bible Verse Can Change Your Life?” – Powerful Bible Verses
As I was doing keyword research I found that another of the questions that people quite often search for is “What bible verse can change your life?”.
How cool isn’t that? People are truly searching for answers, they don’t only want to know the power of the word, they want to be changed by it!
Knowing the word truly changes us. I think a big part of letting the word change us comes from knowing it and living it out.
Truly, knowing and believing the word and the character of God creates trust in Him. When we trust God we can start really believing what the word says. When we believe the word, it can transform us.
Do We Truly Believe What We Believe That We Believe?
Many years ago now, someone asked me the question, “Do we really believe what we believe that we believe?”
At first, I thought that question was so strange. Of course, I believed what I believed! But slowly God started to show me that even if if thought that I believed He was good etc, I didn’t fully trust it.
So, sometimes I think we need to ask ourselves the question if we really believe what we think we believe.
We hope that you are encouraged by these Bible Verses. If you have a Bible verse that you are thinking about that has changed your life it would be really nice to hear from you.
We will keep on posting a new blog post every week so hope to see you soon here again!
