Springtime is also a perfect reminder of who it is that gives life to all things growing. God is the creator of all. We can do our part of sowing and watering but God is the one that brings growth!
In verse 9 we can read that we are co-workers in God’s service. I really like the way we are described as co-workers. God invites us into what he is doing so that we get to be a part.
God Makes Things Grow
These last years, we have been sowing a few things together as a family and our kids feel like they are a big part of making things grow and blossom.
But to be honest, most of the nurturing and watering in order to keep the plants alive is done by me. But it is still so nice to make our children feel a part of the process.
I think sowing is a little bit like the work in the Kingdom. We get to water and nurture but the growth comes from God, our creator.
We get to be a part of everything that God is doing in the people around us, our cities and so on.
