Spring Brings Flowers And Amazing News
Spring is a beautiful time! Here in Sweden, the winter is dark and sometimes the winter months feel long and it is really nice to enjoy the sun again when spring comes.
During spring, the trees turn green again and flowers start growing. Also, during spring, we also get to celebrate the life that Jesus has given us.
Sometimes it feels like nature during spring is showing us the power there is in new life in a very visual way. And during the same time, we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus and that death was defeated when he died for us.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.”
John 3:16-18
God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. God sent his Son to the world to save every one that believes in Him.
Jesus is your savior. Jesus died for you. God sent his son to die for you.
The love of God is far greater than our understanding. God is such a loving Father. And He will always keep loving us.
Knowing Our Father Gives A Firm Foundation
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
Hebrews 13:8
One bible verse that has been an encouragement to me these last few weeks is Hebrews 13:8. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. It is so amazing to read the Bible, to see the whole story of the Bible, and to see how faithful God is through it all. The God that created the universe, the God that saved Daniel from the lion, the God that chose to send his son to die for us, will always be the same.
How comforting isn’t that. Life is hard, many things around us that can make us so discouraged. To be honest, these last two weeks have been challenging for me. Actually not because something happened in particular but just because life is intense and sometimes it is hard to keep up with everything.
When life is overwhelming it is such a calming truth to know that God is in control. We were never meant to be in control. But God knows you so well and He knows your circumstances and He will always stay faithful through it all.
For me, that is such an amazing thing to remember when life feels like too much.
“But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness. And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.”
Romans 8:10-11
The spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you.
Through what Jesus did on the cross, we now get to live close to our Father again. There is so much power in the name of Jesus. The same spirit who raised Jesus from the dead is living in us. That is such a great reminder of what we are invited into.
The choice is ours, we need to choose to follow Jesus. If we choose to follow Jesus and live for Him, the same power that raised Jesus from the dead will also be working in us and through us.
There is so much hope in the message of Easter.
We hope that the coloring page here above will be a reminder of that. Life won when Jesus died for us. The victory is already won.
