What Is A Masterpiece?
In the New Living Translation, Ephesians 2:10 says: “For we are God’s masterpiece.”
A masterpiece is defined as “a work of outstanding artistry, skill, or workmanship.”
A masterpiece is made with so much skill and creativity. It is something so beautiful. An artist puts a lot of thought behind the work he does.
In Genesis chapter one we can read about how God creates the universe. God created this whole world. It is not hard to see that God is an amazing artist when you see all the things that he has created.
The mountains are so high and enormous. When one stands next to a mountain, you feel so small. Then there are also so many details in the flowers and everything that God has created. So God is both so big and so detailed.
God cares about the whole world and at the same time he knows every person.
You Are a Masterpiece
God is such an amazing artist. God could have decided to create anything but he wanted to create this universe and us humans in his image. You exist because God wanted you to exist. He created you with a lot of precision.
When we spend time with our creator, we get a greater understanding of who he is and why he made us. There are so many things that he wants to show you.
He wants you to seek him and he wants to be close to you. He wants to show you how he sees you. Your creator has many thoughts for you, your life has a purpose!
I think we often try to find purpose in our surroundings and the things around us but what we actually need to do is to slow down and listen to the one that made us.
Created In Christ Jesus To Do Good Works
“…created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”. The second part of the verse says that God has prepared works for us to do.
We don’t have to search for our path, we can come close to him and let him show it to us.
And it is also important to remember that even if we do get to do good things we are first and foremost sons and daughters to our heavenly father.
God loves you because of who you are. You are so valuable in his eyes.
