Okay, time for a story… this is how this website came to be.

The Start Of This Website

One August night, 8 years ago now, I couldn’t fall asleep. I was thinking about our oldest daughter, who at that time was about 6 months old.

I remember that I so badly wanted her to grow up knowing how much purpose her life had, that she was created by the creator of the universe and that her life mattered so much just because she was the daughter of the King of kings and so unique.

Every single person reflects God in such a unique way, and I hoped that she would know that and remember that every day.

Why Is It Hard To Remember What is True?

Even if we hear all these things in church and we can read about them in the Bible, it seems that everyday life and all the other information that we get from so many different places make us forget what is true.

Living every day, knowing that our lives matter and that God has so many thoughts for us makes us live the life that we were created for.

Remembering what is true about us and our creator gives us protection from all the lies that the enemy wants us to believe and let form the way we live.

How Can We Remember What Is True?

So that August night, eight years ago, I was praying about how I, as a mother, could help our child to find ways to remember what is true.

One thing that came into my mind was that finding ways to regularly get reminded of what the Bibel says in everyday life throughout our days would be a really good way to make sure it forms the way we live our days.

So, one wish for this website is exactly that, that it could be a creative place where you can be reminded of who you are and who made you. There are a lot of free printables available with Bible verses that can be a help to remind us of what is true.

In this blog post, you will find some free printable coloring pages that you can print out and color and later keep in a place where you will see them throughout your day. Or you can give it to a friend who needs encouragement.

When The Task At Hand Feels Too Much To Handle

One thing I do sometimes when the task at hand feels too much to handle is that I listen to a YouTube clip by Priscilla Shirer. I will leave the link here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aXxDZND0wUM

I highly recommend listening to that clip if you feel like God is leading you to a task that is too big for you to handle. Those times will happen because God wants to do things together with us, and we are made to live dependent on him.

So feeling like we badly need him in order to succeed in the things is actually the exact way that we are meant to live. We are created to live in a relationship with our creator, doing things together with him.

These Next Few Months

These next few months, there are a lot of things happening in our family. I am starting a new job, our youngest daughter will start preschool, the older kids will go back to school, and my husband will go back to work after some time spent at home with our children.

I won’t have much time to write blog posts. In times like that, I like to remind myself of why I started this blog in the first place. Because knowing our why is a huge motivator.

I will keep posting new blog posts as much as I can, hopefully that means that you won’t notice a big difference in our posting schedule, but I don’t know exactly how everything will work out.

So, that is a short update from our part. We are so happy that you have found our website, and you can know that I will do my very best in posting as much as I can, also during the coming months.
