Fall is such a cozy time of year. Especially the start of fall where we live it’s absolutely gorgeous with all the colors in the trees, the days are getting cooler and it’s just one of my favorite times of the year.
When the days get cooler and darker, nights can be spent indoors relaxing. Even if summer often means vacation and being free from work and studies, I often tend to feel like fall is more relaxing than summer.
Maybe that sounds crazy. We might have to change the way we do vacations in our family. 😀
But yeah, one thing that fall time means for our family is that we spend more time inside. This year we have a small baby in our family so we tend to stay inside when it’s rainy and windy.
So, having some craft ideas on hand is really helpful! One of our kids’ favorite activities is coloring. I really like it too because it doesn’t lead to any major messes and it is very fun both for our soon three-year-old and our five-year-old.
Our soon-to-be three-year-old does certainly not stay inside the lines still but we do enjoy having some different coloring pages on hand, some a little more detailed and some that are easy to color for smaller kids as well.
