This past summer, we made a family trip to a local zoo. It was such a fun day with so many animals that our children got to see for the first time.

Truly, both our children and us adults had a great time enjoying all the beauty and uniqueness of the different kinds of animals.

It is so amazing to see the variation of all the different species. Some are so big and others so small.

The elephants and giraffes, oh, they are so big. I guess it’s no surprise. But seeing them up close really made me a bit nervous. 😉

Everything in creation shows us so much about the creator. God is so very creative.

I think it is a good reminder sometimes to look at all the things that God has made and see how endless his creativity is.

God could create anything but he chose to create this earth and all that is within it. God chose to create you.

God created this earth and saw that it was very good. There is so much purpose in your life. God loves you so much.

These coloring pages do not have that many small details, which makes them easier to color even for smaller kids.

Hedgehogs are quite different from giraffes but really it is really so fun that we can enjoy animals even if we don’t go to the zoo.

At the time when this blog post is published, it’s September and the fall is here. Where I grew up, you could sometimes see hedgehogs during late summer nights and early fall. So hedgehogs are an animal that I think about during fall.
