Hot Air Balloon Craft Idea with Pom Poms

This craft with pom poms shows you how to make hot air balloons that are fun to play with or can be used as decorations in a nursery or for a party with this theme!
I think hot air balloons are so fun to make and decorate with. I have seen so many different kinds of ways to make your own hot air balloons and how people choose to make that the theme for events and nurseries. So so cute!
These last few weeks we have also really been into making our own pom poms so that is where the idea of making hot air balloons out of pom poms came from.
We will show one way of making them but there are of course so many ways that you can make them look just like you prefer.
How to Make Pom Poms for this Craft Idea
For this craft idea, you need a pom pom of a bigger size. Pom poms can be bought in craft stores or you can make your own.

If you choose to make your own pom pom for the hot air ballon, you can choose different kinds of color combinations to make the pom pom striped och maybe you want dots on it.
There are many different ways that you can make the hot air balloon really cute.
We made one pom pom with red and white stripes, which turned out quite nice.
How to Make a Hot Air Balloon with Pom Poms
To make these you need a pom pom, yarn, a needle, and egg carton.
The basket for the hot air balloon is made out of recycled egg cartons. You can of course choose what you think would look good. But using egg cartons is an easy way to show our children that we can reuse things that we have at home already.
