December is around the corner and that means that winter soon officially is here. The snow is coming soon and the hours with sunlight are getting fewer.

Often that means more time inside with family. Having some ideas on what you can do during the time that you spend inside can be very welcome, especially if you have children.

I have said it before but for us, one of the things we like to do is crafts. Coloring is usually one of our favorite things to do if we have not had much time to prepare for some other kind of creative activity.

Having some season-specific coloring pages on hand can be really nice. Here are some pictures to color that are fun for Christmastime.

Christmas time is just such a special time of year. The story of God the Father sending His son to live on this earth as a human is so crazy and amazing.

“Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”

Luke 2:11

Jesus is the Reason for the Season

A savior was born. After sin entered this world, we needed a savior. God did not turn His back on us and sent His son to live on the earth, preach the truth, die, and rise from the dead.

With all the things going on in December, it can be easy to actually forget the reason for the season. But as I look back on the Christmases that have passed by, the best Christmases have been the ones when my focus has been on the true meaning of Christmas.

How to Have a Great Christmas

During the last months, I have been getting more knowledge about keyword research. If you want to succeed with your blog, which I actually think would be really nice to do, you need to know a thing or two about keyword research.

So as December is getting closer I was researching what people type into Google search during the Holiday season.

One of the questions that popped up, that people search for was “How to have a Great Christmas”.

I think that shows that there is a little bit of pressure to actually make Christmas special. We want to enjoy Christmas and we want to make it enjoyable for the people around us.

I hope though, that this Christmas would be a time when we get to remind ourselves about the true reason for the season and that we could be spared the stress that the Holiday season sometimes bring.

How to enjoy the Christmas season

To start this December I want to remind myself of the things that have helped me before to have a Christmas time that is meaningful.

Thinking of it, I think there are three things that help me focus on the right things.

So if you ever have struggled to stay away from Holiday stress, these points may help you as well.

  1. Keep things simple. Trying to keep things more simple and not feel the pressure to be everywhere and do everything helps to not fill our schedules with too many things.
  2. Keep your Christmas gift shopping minimal. I get it. Gifts are a big part of Christmas. It is a fun thing to be generous and give our loved ones gifts that we think they will enjoy. But keeping it as simple as possible is a good tip in order to not be overwhelmed.
  3. Remember what we celebrate and share the good news with others. Letting Jesus be the center of everything we do really brings back our focus to what the most important things are. Read the Christmas story in Luke chapter 2, go to a Christian Christmas concert or a church service, and let God remind you of what He has done for you! I think this is the most important thing to do in order to enjoy Christmas.

Coloring Pages for Christmas for Adults

Another thing that really can make Christmas time more enjoyable is being creative. Being creative is a part of who we were created to be and it can be a relaxing activity in times that can be more hectic.

So here is one more Christmas coloring page for you.

The coloring pages in this blog post are most suitable for adults. The pictures have quite many details and the lines are thin so if you have some experience from coloring you have found the right place.

We do though, have other coloring pages that have thicker lines, which are better for younger kids so if you are looking for something like that you can find all the other coloring pages that we have published here:

We hope you will have a fun time coloring and that you will have a blessed Christmas.

God loves you so much. He sent His son so that you could have eternal life! Jesus is your savior. He wants to take your burdens away.
