Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. These words are such an encouragement in times like these.
I don’t know about you, but during a time like this when there is a lot going on in the world, it is easy for me to in one way or another let some thoughts that are heavy linger in my head.
Saying that, still it is good to know that letting my peace go is nothing I take lightly. 😉
I am usually a peacemaker who at most times tries my best to keep peace in me and around me but these last weeks I have actually caught myself not being that good at keeping heavy thoughts from lingering in me a little longer than they have to.
Soo.. these words are a good reminder for me during these weeks. I hope they are an encouragement to you too.
Jesus gives peace that is not like this world. His peace is above all the circumstances around us.
Jesus wants to give you his peace. A peace that is beyond our understanding. We get to be honest with God and tell him when life feels overwhelming. As we seek God, Jesus gives us peace.
The last sentence says that we shouldn’t let our hearts be troubled. I wants reminded of those words these last weeks. Jesus wants to give us peace but we also have to seek him.
Sometimes we need a reminder that there is peace when we choose to pray instead of worrying.
