December is here and Christmas is getting closer. We have three small children and the excitement is real! 😀

It is so fun to experience this time of year through their eyes. Everything is so exciting for them.

This last week has been very snowy around here where we live. We have spent a lot of time out in the snow. It has been really fun.

This time of year it is also very fun to do some Christmas-themed creative things.

One easy way to be creative without much preparation is to do some coloring.

Here are some free printable coloring pages that are perfect for the Christmas season!

Free Printable Christmas Card with Bible Verse

“For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
    Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God,
    Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

Isaiah 9:6

“For to us a child is born… he will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

Adding a Bible verse to a Christmas card can be one way of remembering the reason for the season.

During Christmas, we get to celebrate Jesus!

God loves you so much that He sent His son to earth to save you!

Hopefully, this Christmas will be a time when many people will be reminded of that!

Trying to Keep the Holiday Stress Away

As life gets busier and busier, I think it gets more difficult to keep the right focus during December. I have really tried to keep a slower pace this December in order to remember what is most important.

There is so much fun going on during Christmas, concerts, events, and celebrations. It is easy to fill our schedules with so many different things.

I guess we are all in different seasons and some years might be perfect for attending all the different kinds of Christmas happenings but this is not that year for me.

This year I am trying to keep things simple.

Keeping our schedule more simple and also trying to keep gift shopping at a simple level are two things I have tried to do this Christmas.

Starting to plan what gifts to give to family and friends early on is another thing that usually helps keep the stress away.

I hope that you too will find some ways that can help you to keep this Holiday season a stress-free one!

How To Make A Christmas Card Out Of Coloring Pages

These coloring pages can be used as Christmas cards.

If you want to make some Christmas cards for friends and family but struggle to find the time to do so, using some Christmas coloring pages as cards can be an easier way to make personalized cards.

Creating a Christmas card from coloring pages can be a fun and personalized way to send holiday greetings.

Here are some steps about how you make your own Christmas card using coloring pages:

Materials Needed:

  1. Coloring Pages: You can find printable free printable Christmas coloring pages online. That is maybe the easiest way to find the coloring page that you are looking for. Here on this website, we have many different Christmas coloring pages to choose from. Some with more details and some that are more simple. Here is a link to the ones we have published thus far: https://underbartskapad.com/category/free-printable-coloring-pages/christmas-coloring-pages/
  2. Cardstock or some other thicker paper: If you will use the coloring page just like it is as a card I would suggest that you choose a thicker paper when you are printing out your coloring page. If you plan to glue the coloring page to another piece of paper or cardstock, you can use any kind of paper when you print it out.
  3. Coloring Supplies: Colored pencils, markers, crayons, or any other coloring tools you prefer.
  4. Scissors: If you want you can cut out the coloring page elements and glue them to a separate piece of cardstock. For that, you will need scissors.
  5. Glue or Double-Sided Tape: If you choose to glue your coloring pages to a separate piece of cardstock you need glue to attach the coloring page elements to your card.
  6. Envelopes: If you’re mailing the cards.

Steps on How To Make Your Own Christmas Card

  1. Choose Coloring Pages:
    • Select coloring pages with Christmas or holiday themes.
  2. Print or Copy:
    • As said earlier, print the coloring pages on regular paper if you want to add them to a separate piece of thicker paper, or print out your coloring page on thicker paper to make it more sturdy if you plan to use the coloring page as the card.
  3. Color the Pages:
    • Use your coloring supplies to add color to the pages. Be creative and personalize the images as you like.
  4. Cut Out Elements, Arrange, and Glue: If you choose to add your coloring page elements to a separate piece of cardstock it is now time to cut out, arrange, and glue them to place.
  5. Add Details and Final Touches:
    • Depending on how much time you have you can have fun with adding more details such as a nice border, glitter, and a holiday message. Remember to have fun! 😉
